{"id":10031,"date":"2017-05-16T10:54:57","date_gmt":"2017-05-16T08:54:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saludporderecho.org\/?p=10031"},"modified":"2017-05-25T10:59:06","modified_gmt":"2017-05-25T08:59:06","slug":"we-are-participating-in-high-level-international-dialogue-on-access-to-medicines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/saludporderecho.org\/en\/we-are-participating-in-high-level-international-dialogue-on-access-to-medicines\/","title":{"rendered":"We are participating in a High-Level international dialogue on access to medicines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>SALUD POR DERECHO AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS\u00a0SEND DOCUMENT TO THE OECD TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO INNOVATIVE TREATMENTS AND THE SUSTAINABILITY OF HEALTH SYSTEMS <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, the French Ministry of Health asked the <a class=\"\" title=\"\" href=\"http:\/\/www.oecd.org\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\">OECD<\/a>(an international cooperation organism made up of 35 Member States that promotes policies to improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world) to act as the Secretariat for a new initiative to promote an international and high-level dialogue between stakeholders on access to innovative pharmaceuticals and the sustainability of national systems and pharmaceutical spending.<\/p>\n<p>This initiative, backed by OECD Member States and Ministers of Health at the G7 ministerial meeting on health in Kobe last September, seeks to improve patient access to innovative treatments and ensure the sustainability of health expenditures as well as continued innovation that meets patient needs. .<\/p>\n<p>The OECD has invited submissions from all stakeholders, both individuals and organisations, to contribute their views and ideas and develop recommendations for governments of OECD Member States. Thus, a large number of Spanish organizations, including Salud por Derecho, initiated a process to prepare a joint document that was sent on May 1, which contains important recommendations to take into consideration.<\/p>\n<span class=\"around-button inline\"><a data-hover=\"Read The Document\" href=\"https:\/\/saludporderecho.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/Online-consultation-OCDE-EN-1.pdf\" class=\"styled-button inline dfd-block-title-family bg-main text-white icon-color-main border-color-main style-1  text-center\" style=\"font-size: 12px; height: 40px; line-height: 40px; border-width: 0px; border-style: solid; border-radius: 0px; font-weight: 100; letter-spacing: 0px;\"><span data-hover=\"Read The Document\">Read The Document<\/span><\/a><\/span>\n<p><strong>Salud por Derecho<\/strong> will closely follow this process and the outcome of the consultation.
