Since the informal meeting of the ECOFIN Council on April 1, the implementation of the Financial Transaction Tax has been referenced numerous times in the press. While we might have to wait until May 6 for the 11 European countries who have committed to the tax to reach and publicize an agreement, it is clear that the voices supporting this kind of tax have only grown more numerous.
