As a result of the combined actions being carried out around World Health Day on 7th April, thousand of people have joined forces in the fight to make the right to health accessible to everyone.
In less than two weeks, more than 3,000 people have supported our request to the Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Trinidad Jimenez, to avoid that the Official Development Assistance (ODA) cuts do not affect to the already most impoverished people.
This request from the citizens contribute to the efforts different organizations as well as all the political parties are doing in order to ensure that during the implementation of the Annual Development Plan basic social and health services are prevented from more severe cuts.
In addition as one Parliamentarians as Gaspar Llamazares and Carles Campuzano have express their impressions about the right to health in our section “First person”.
Through the special microsite designed for World Health Day, as well as the campaign made in social media we believe to have created a dialogue with citizens about the responsibility we have on the consequences our actions can have in developing countries.
