During this event, our second “Punto de Partida,” Manuel Rodríguez and Vanessa López, president and executive director of Salud por Derecho, presented the organization to the public in Salamanca, discussing who we are and what we do.
Rafael Correa, researcher in molecular immunology at the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid, talked about the importance of R&D in health and Elena Villanueva, Advocacy Officer, described our organization’s work in promoting greater investment on behalf of the EU for R&D for poverty related diseases.
The social welfare representative from the city hall offered the introduction, along with Natividad Hernández Muñoz, the Director of the Office of International Cooperation at the University of Salamanca.
This meeting forms a part of our plan to promote social participation, involving members of civil society and the general public in our work.
