Our proposals to improve the current Horizon2020 and future program.
Horizon 2020 is the program that funds research and innovation projects in various thematic areas in the European context. With its Framework Program (2014-2020) almost half way, and in the current context of global crisis in access to medicines, Horizonte 2020 cannot stay removed from the changes in science policy being demanded by society, experts and political representatives.
Salud por Derecho has prepared proposals for the current mid-term review of the program. It is also our position towards the new funding framework after 2020. ‘An opportunity to change the European innovation model’ proposes changes at different levels, but above all, it wants to bring science and health closer to people and their needs R&D innovation and development of health technologies should be considered public goods, reflecting public investment and the effort and commitment of citizens with society, progress and well-being.
